SPAUN multiswitches – satellite reception for the whole building

A multiswitch distributes the signal of a single satellite dish to many outlets. Every flat and every room gets the full range of channels, without its own dish and without compromising picture quality. The SMS 07+ series from SPAUN covers everything from the two-family house to a residential block with 16 outlets.

What sets the SMS 07+ series apart

  • Typically 0.1 watt at rest – the satellite IF amplifiers and the LNB remote supply only run while at least one receiver is in use. Over the years this is the difference you notice most against a distributor that runs around the clock
  • Power supply already built in – short-circuit proof switch mode supply for 90–240 V and 47–63 Hz, no extra unit in the distribution cabinet
  • Strength for the LNB – up to 500 mA remote supply current feeds even a Quattro LNB at the end of a long cable run reliably
  • Aerial and return path included – the terrestrial input is passive and return path capable, so DVB-T is easy to feed in as well
  • Developed and manufactured in Germany – design, production and technical support come from one source

Which size do I need?

What counts are outlets, not rooms: every receiver tuner occupies one output. A twin-tuner receiver that records one channel while showing another therefore needs two of them. Allow for some spare capacity and an output stays free when another device is added later.

Which LNB goes with it?

A Quattro LNB is the recommended choice: it delivers all four reception bands permanently and simultaneously to the multiswitch, which then only has to distribute them. On the single-satellite models the built-in 22 kHz generator also allows a Quad LNB to be used. Make sure the input levels of the bands arrive at a similar strength – that is the basis for a clean picture at every outlet.

You will find all models together in the Multiswitch category.
